Wanda Allen
Wanda is a fourth-generation military service member and combat veteran who served 12 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. She began her career as an administrative clerk before transitioning to ground communications maintenance. Her assignments included Diego Garcia (BIOT), Camp Lejeune (NC), Twentynine Palms (CA), and two deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
A lifetime member since 2013, Wanda has held several leadership roles within her Post, including Post Service Officer, 2nd Vice Commander, 1st Vice Commander, and currently serves as Post Adjutant. At the Department of Georgia level, she has served as 2nd Vice Commander and received national recognition for her work as a Programs Manager.
Wanda is married to Milton, and together they have six children and five grandchildren. Their two youngest sons are currently serving in the Marine Corps and the Army. She continues to serve her community as a full-time high school science teacher in the metro Atlanta area.
