Linda Marlow
Linda Marlow proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1980 to 1983 as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with the 98th Army Band at Fort Rucker, Alabama, and the 3rd Infantry Division Band in Würzburg, Germany. Her performances supported military ceremonies, community outreach, and troop morale across two continents.
Following her honorable discharge, Linda spent several years in the private sector, working in Business Management and Corporate Accounting. This experience gave her valuable perspective and strengthened her skills in leadership, operations, and strategic planning, complementing her more creative side.
She eventually returned to her first love—music—while continuing to follow her lifelong calling as a teacher. Linda earned a Bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State University and a Master’s degree from Kent State University, and later retired from the Douglas County School System, where she served as a dedicated music educator and mentor.
A proud member of AMVETS Post 118 in Lithia Springs, Georgia, Linda is a Past Post Commander and currently serves as 1st Vice Commander. She now holds the position of Public Relations Officer for AMVETS Department of Georgia, where she continues her commitment to serving veterans and strengthening communities through advocacy, outreach, and public engagement.
